Pleasures of Pain

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.”

– Buddha

We should not pick on others because we ourselves will inevitably get hurt in the process. In Pleasures of Pain I am illustrating a similar concept, only using snowballs instead of hot coals. Pleasures of Pain visually depicts this conundrum by juxtaposing the same person in both roles: as both the aggressor, and the victim. Although the perpetrators are generally shown as enjoying themselves, they are their own target.
